QMax designed and constructed a sewer pump station for Coffs Harbour City Council.

This pump station included:

• 2.25m diameter pump well
• Intergral valve chamber
• FRP ladder with stainless steel extendable stiles
• DN80, 316 SH10 stainless steel pipework
• DN80, AVK check and Gate valves
• Aluminium access covers with safety grates and four sided fall protection

Installing sewer pump stations in Coastal regions is always a challenge, especially when the AHD levels for the base of the well is below sea level. On this project the authorities required custom benching in the well, to keep the residual sewer when the pumps switch off to a minimum. This extra benching will also ensure the settled solids in the pump station will be pumped away on the next pump cycle.
