QMax Pumping Systems was contacted by a hydraulic consultant regarding and industrial complex that had received a non-compliance letter regarding the sewer discharge.

The facility was discharging sewer, with a high content of solid, inorganic material, that was causing issues in the sewer network and regional pump stations.

QMax worked with the consultant designing and constructing a system to ensure the facility met the sewer discharge requirements once installed.

QMax needed to ensure the system could be installed in a 225mm low grade sewer, that was approximately 2.0m below surface level, and would operate successfully with minimal operator intervention.

During safety in design reviews, QMax needed to identify any possible points of operator intervention, and ensure safety systems prevented any operator being exposed to potential harm or danger.
