QMAX has recently installed two sewer pump stations at Gilgandra NSW.

Gilgandra NSW had previously installed a concrete pump station themselves, 2.4 diameter and 6.0m deep using other precast concrete products. After the council had installed the pump station they then had to construct the valve chamber and cover slab with access covers

Working with Ardill Payne, QMAX Pumping Systems provided a solution using the pump station with the integral valve chamber. QMAX were able to offer a much quicker installation time frame. Gilgandra Shire Council needed two pump stations, one installed in their “Aeropark” subdivision located near the Gilgandra Aero Club and the other in a new industrial estate that Gilgandra Shire Council are building on Hargraves Road.

With the QMAX Precast Pump Stations, both these pump stations were able to be installed in the same day, allowing back filling to take place the following day. This meant that the excavation was open for the least time possible.

Once backfilled, QMAX returned to site and fitted out the pump stations, with Flygt pumps, 316 stainless steel pip work and epoxy coated, resilient seated valves. These pump stations also had a camlock emergency pump out connection fitted in the valve chamber for connection to an external pump should the need arise.
