Projects
Appledore Estate Sewer Pump Station
Scope
QMAX was approached by the civil technical officer at Calare Civil to provide a proposal for their client Ross McCarthy to design and construct a sewer pumping station for a proposed large lot development in Kelso, NSW. This development featured minimum lot sizes of 4000m², making it an ideal location for families seeking to build spacious dream homes. The primary requirement was to meet Bathurst Regional Council specifications encompassing civil, mechanical, and electrical standards.
The project scope included designing and installing a sewer pumping station tailored specifically for the needs of the large lot development. This involved constructing a 2250mm diameter, 3.0m deep structure, integrating Flygt MP3102 grinder pumps known for their reliability and efficiency, using stainless steel pipework for durability, and incorporating essential components such as a pumpout tee, flow meter, and aluminium access covers with safety grates for accessibility.
Challenges
This project progressed smoothly despite the constraints of limited space, experiencing minimal setbacks during construction. This was particularly convenient given the tight timeframe set by the developer. QMAX worked hard to swiftly design, construct, install, and commission the pump station, ensuring prompt land release as planned.
