Scope

Blue Mountains City Council awarded a contract to QMAX for the design, manufacture and installation including civil works and landscaping for sewer pump station with grinder pumps and a muffin monster for the caravan park in Blackheath, NSW.

Challenges

QMAX were to decommission an old positive displacement sewer pump station and design and construct a new sewer pump station at Blackheath Caravan Park. The space was very limited due to the water, electricity and gas mains running in close proximity to the proposed location of SPS. Additionally, the location proposed for installation of pump station had a steep slope. QMAX performed the necessary checks and engaged a responsible subcontractor to manage the civil works associated with this project. The new pump station was installed successfully without any environmental or safety incidents.
