Woodbury Ridge Water Supply System
Scope
Woodbury Ridge, situated near Sutton NSW, represents a semi-rural community known for its rich history and idyllic nature. Nestled in a serene rural backdrop with convenient city connections, this development features expansive land plots that showcase untouched Australian bushland. To meet the water demands of its residents, QMAX undertook a custom solution involving a comprehensive water supply system. Central to this system is a specially designed bore pump that draws water from the natural reservoir up a hill into a substantial 188KL storage tank. From there, a triple pump booster system efficiently distributes water to each residence, guaranteeing comfortable living for the developments future families. Monitoring of both bore and tank levels is meticulously managed via a custom-built control panel, ensuring continuous supply and efficient usage tracking throughout this prestigious development.
Challenges
During the initial phases, QMAX encountered challenges that required adept problem-solving to maintain project efficiency and minimise additional costs. Specifically, he initial location of the bore pump turned out to be unsuitable for the developer’s conservation goals for the land, necessitating modifications to the existing setup. By strategically repositioning the pump closer to the water source, QMAX effectively adapted the system to ensure optimal functionality and longevity. Moreover, situated amidst pristine Australian bushland, the development demanded sensitive handling of environmental concerns, particularly in preserving native flora and respecting the area’s heritage. This approach underscores QMAX’s commitment to sustainability and community stewardship, ensuring that the project integrates harmoniously with its natural surroundings while meeting the needs of future residents for years to come.
