QMAX was engaged to design, construct and install a sewerage pump station, compliant with Shoalhaven Water requirements and designed for 500 ET.

The pump station included:

• 3200mm diameter pump station, 4.0m deep
• Custom designed coverslab
• 120kL concrete emergency storage tank
• Ferrous Chloride dosing system
• Shoalhaven Water compliant control system

This project presented a few challenges, installing pump stations in coastal regions, when the invert levels are below RL0 is often an issue, however with careful engineering and detailed construction methodology, the pump station can be installed and commissioned to a reliable asset.

This project also presented a challenge with the rising main configuration, this pump station was designed to discharge into the rising main of another pump station, so the QMax design team had to ensure successful pump operation when both pump stations where operating and when only one was operational.

The system was commissioned successfully in June 2021, another successful project completed to our clients satisfaction.
