Greenway Sec 28

QMax recently completed a sewer pump station for Icon Water, to take the sewer from the recently released Blocks 3,4 & 5 at Section 28, Greenway ACT.

This was a 2250mm diameter pump station, 7.0m deep, that had a mechanically anchored high density polyethylene liner.

All the discharge pipework was 316 SH10 stainless steel.

Due to the close proximity to Lake Tuggeranong, this pump station also had a 100kL off line emergency storage tank that also had a mechanically anchored high density polyethylene liner.

This pump station also had a magnetic flow meter installed in a separate pit to accurately record the instantaneous flow rates as well as totalized flow from the station.

The valve chamber and flowmeter pit were quite deep, to ensure the rising main was constantly rising and eliminate the need for a air-release valve.
